This week, I got an opportunity to meet my primay mentor Dr. Deborah L. McGuinness and my secondary mentor Dr. Xixi Luo. As part of our face-to-face meeting, the goals of the project was established. We discussed the weekly tasks assigned and reviewed the schedule.
The tasks for this week includes building Earth Science Ontology Repository (ESOR) on my local machine. I learnt how to use Maven and processed the data using the automated script. The repository is now established on the local machine, and is ready for querying. I got to know more about the Linkipedia framework and Search and Linking queries.
Dr. Luo explained me the fuctionalities of ESOR. Next week, I have to focus on the documentation part of the API. I have to document APIs for the codes that Dr. Luo will be providing me. Looking forward to work on this.
