I spent part of this week continuing work on the Metadata Standard GitHub page. During the last six weeks I have updated and edited the page due to broken links. I have also changed some of the wording on the landing page. I also spent part of the week reading up on and watching tutorials about Jekyll. My mentors and I would like to work with Jekyll themes to change the theme of the GitHub page.
Here is a list of the changes made to the Metadata Standard Directory GitHub page thus far:
Metafor CIM has been updated as Metafor has merged with Earth System Curator to form Earth System Documentation and is now known as CIM. the updated link is http://www.dcc.ac.uk/resources/metadata-standards/cim-common-information-model
I also removed and added various tools and use cases to the CIM page. I also removed the “CIM Tool” link from the page.
These are the tools I added: Questionnaire Generator, Viewer, and Comparator Tool.
Use cases added: The QC Tool, the CIM Search Portal.

DIF has been updated to http://gcmd.nasa.gov/add/difguide/ Mapping and Specification has also changed. Mapping to ISO 19115 has been updated to http://gcmd.nasa.gov/add/standards/difiso.html the specification has been updated to http://gcmd.nasa.gov/add/difguide/WRITEADIF.pdf
The HEASARC was not linked correctly and is now available on the GitHub page.
Global Change Master Directory has been updated to http://gcmd.nasa.gov/add/standards/
CF Conventions has been updated to http://web.archive.org/web/20130213230013/http://cf-pcmdi.llnl.gov/projects-and-groups-adopting-the-cf-conventions-as-their-standard
CF mapping to COARDS Conventions has now been updated to http://cfconventions.org/1.6.html#coards-relationship
CF Related Vocabulary, CF Standard Name Table is now updated to http://cfconventions.org/standard-names-26.html
Sepcification is updated to http://cfconventions.org/1.6.html
KomFor Data has been removed from the page.
On the landing page, I have changed some wording including updating the word “Instructions” to “Getting Started” and “View” to “Visit” (i.e. Visit the Standards, Visit the Extensions, etc.)
I will spend most of this week working with Jekyll themes and continuing work on the GitHub page and content.
